    George Brown College’s Library Learning Commons (LLC) provides research services, resources and facilities for GBC students, faculty, staff, affiliates, alumni, and the local community.

    The LLC offers various types of resources to find information on your topic. Use the menus on the left side of this page to find the materials you need to do your research and assignments. If you're not sure which resources to use, check our descriptions below.

    • Articles & Databases: Search over 100 databases to find articles in newspapers, magazines, and scholarly journals.
    • Books: Search our library catalogue to find in depth materials on your topic.
    • Course Reserves: Find required or recommended readings, books, articles textbooks or class notes that your instructor has placed on reserve for you to use.
    • Dictionaries & Encyclopedias: Start your research with definitions and basic information on your topic.
    • E-Books & E-Audiobooks: Access the LLC's collection of books online and do your research from anywhere.
    • Journals A-Z: Check out our list of journal and magazine titles available both in print and online.
    • Online Videos & DVDs: Stream videos online from anywhere or use the LLC's media stations to watch videos and DVDs in the library.
    • Recommend to Order: Want an item not available at the LLC? Request items for purchase to the LLC collection.
    • Research Guides: An excellent resource that recommends books, databases, magazines, journals, websites, RSS feeds, etc on your subject.
